Heavy rains in northern China have killed Four people and left eight others missing.

 

Chinese media said this this Monday saying the heavy rains caused a landslide in a village near the city of Chengde in Hebei province, which led to the death of 4 persons, while 8 others are still missing.

 

Authorities in China’s capital, Beijing, say the rains have forced over eight thousand persons to evacuate across the capital city and surrounding areas.

 

The Authorities have issued a warning which is the country’s second-highest warning for rainstorms and the highest for floods, with the downpours expected to last into Tuesday morning.

 

The Chinese national emergency management department said it has dispatched a team to inspect the “severe” flooding in the province.
