The coalition of health sector unions in Lagos State has begun a three-day warning strike over non-implementation of adjustments to the Consolidated Health Salary Structure.
The Secretary of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Oloruntoba Odumosu, said this to newsmen this Wednesday, saying a meeting between the union leaders and officials of the state government on December 9th ended in an impasse.
Odumosu says the Congress met after the meeting with the state government and agreed to proceed with the strike since government officials could not give a clear timeline for the implementation of their demands.
The striking unions include the Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals, the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, and the Joint Health Sector Unions.
