The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group F alongside Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and Norway for the 2025 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
The draw ceremony took place this Friday in Santiago, Chile where the Flying Eagles were put in Pot 2 for the draw.
Meanwhile, other African countries participating in the competition include Africa U-20 men’s champions, South Africa who are in Group E with France, New Caledonia, and USA; Runners up, Morocco, will face Brazil, Mexico, and Spain, while Egypt will take on hosts Chile, Japan and New Zealand in Group A.
This year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile will take place from 27 September to 19 October with the top two teams from each of the six groups advancing to the Round of 16, as well as the four best third-placed teams.
The Flying Eagles qualified for the World Cup after finishing third at the U-20 AFCON in Egypt earlier this month.
