Five people have been arrested in India over the killing of a seven-year-old boy in an alleged ritual sacrifice aimed at bringing good fortune to a public school.
Indian Police official, Himanshu Mathur, told newsmen this Friday that the victim was found dead in his bed on Sunday night at the hostel where he lived in Hathras.
Mathur says the boy was killed before a black magic ceremony conducted by the father of the school director Dinesh Baghel, after which Baghel hid the body in the trunk of his car.
Baghel and his father have now been arrested along with three other teachers at the school as investigations continue.
