The Federal Government has unveiled plans to launch three national initiatives aimed at strengthening family cohesion, protecting vulnerable children, and combating poverty at the grassroots.
The Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, said this to newsmen on Friday to commemorate the 2025 International Day of Families.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim says the 3 initiatives include outreach programmes for family cohesion in Nigeria, national guidelines for the provision of alternative care for children, and the National Family Strengthening and Development Programme.
She says the three initiatives will work towards safeguard children outside their natural homes and fighting poverty and domestic violence.
