The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Council, FCCPC, has promised to fight for the rights and inclusiveness of all Nigerians, especially Persons with Disabilities.
The council’s Deputy Director of Consumer and Business Education, Nwafor Anthony, said this this Monday in Abuja while speaking at a policy roundtable on financial inclusion for Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation, CADEF.
Nwafor says the council is already engaging in several campaigns aimed at ensuring inclusivity and also providing an adequate environment for persons with special needs to access all sorts of services without any form of discrimination.
The Executive Director of CADEF, Chiso Ndukwe-Okafor, says the meeting was organized so that stakeholders could brainstorm to come up with ideas to address the challenges faced by PWDs.
She says the key recommendations from the meeting will be used to address such challenges so as to ensure that all persons with disabilities access services without any form of stress and under the best possible conditions.
