A father of nine children, identified simply as Mr Charles, has reportedly committed suicide in the Jeddo community of Delta State.
It was gathered that the gory incident occurred in the early hours of Monday.
The man allegedly took his own life after drinking an insecticide.
Sources who are privy to the incident told newsmen that the said Mr Charles, who lived in the Jeddo community of Okpe Local Government Area, drank the insecticide at his residence and proceeded to his in-law’s place at nearby Ugbokodo, where he eventually gave up the ghost.
It was gathered that before the incident, Charles, who was a member of Jeddo Community Vigilante, had a heated argument with his wife, pleading with her not to leave him.
