The Falconets of Nigeria have been eliminated from the FIFA Women’s World Cup, following loss to Japan this Friday Morning.
The Japanese Under 20 women’s national team defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the quarterfinal of the Women’s World Cup in Bogota, Colombia.
Nigeria’s Olushola Shobowale scored the only goal for Nigeria in the match.
Meanwhile, Japan forward, Chinari Sasai has said teamwork and togetherness contributed to the team’s victory over Nigeria.
Japan will now face Spain in the World Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
