The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has said regardless of political affiliation, the Commission will pursue anyone involved in financial crimes.
Olukoyede said this in a television interview on Wednesday evening, in reaction to reports that political party members are defecting to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, to avoid being targeted by the EFCC.
Olukoyede denied this saying if the EFCC discovers that someone has stolen money, they will have questions to answer, regardless of whether they are from the APC, PDP, Labour Party, NNPP or SDP
Olukoyede also said that more members of APC have been prosecuted than those from the opposition, also saying that it will be injustice for the Commission to avoid investigating and prosecuting opposition members simply because of what critics might say.
