The EFCC says it has recovered over N200bn and made about 3,000 convictions in one year under the leadership of its chairman, Ola Olukoyede.
The spokesman of the EFCC Wilson Uwujaren said this this Monday as he extolled the achievements of the EFCC Chairman.
Uwujaren says since President Bola Tinubu appointed Olukoyede as the chairman of the anti-graft in October 2023, the commission has recorded successes in the fight against corruption in the country.
He said despite these milestones, the EFCC spokesman said the commission’s focus is on the prevention of crimes rather than convictions.
According to him, a majority of the convictions were cases of cybercrime with youths taking the largest share.
He says the commission has put up measures including sensitization of youth across the country on the dangers of fraud, especially cybercrime.
His comments come amid calls for the dissolution of EFCC
