The Edo State Government has ordered the immediate closure of all satellite campuses of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
The Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, says the government has now directed that all programmes and courses must now be conducted solely at the university’s main campus in Ekpoma.
Ikhilor says the government has invested significantly in raising the standard of the university’s main campus which could now meet every academic need, saying the shutdown of the satellite campuses was to commence immediately.
He now calls on the Governing Council and management of the university to comply with the new policy.
