The Director General of the Asue Ighodalo Campaign Organization, Don-Pedro Obaseki has defended the failure of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State to sign the Peace Accord ahead of the September 21st Governorship Elections.
Obaseki told newsmen this Friday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be blamed for their refusal to sign the peace accord.
He alleged that the police in Edo state has been taken over by the APC, saying signing a peace accord will be endorsing the violence and lack of equity which they have seen ahead of the election.
Obaseki says the PDP will only sign the peace accord if the representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Edo state, and the Police Commissioner in Edo State are removed.
