Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have arrived in Lyon, France ahead of the qualifying tournament for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The African champions arrived this Monday as they prepare to compete in the qualifying tournament scheduled to run from March 11 to March 15.
The team will face a challenging schedule in the round-robin competition, where they are set to take on Colombia, South Korea, Philippines, and host nation France.
They are expected to begin training sessions in Lyon immediately as the technical crew fine-tunes tactics and squad fitness ahead of their opening game on March 11.
