The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has flagged-off a capacity building programme for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to boost customs revenue operations, curb leakages and enhance transparency and accountability.
Adeniyi spoke in Abuja on Monday,at the opening of a training on AI-driven revenue generation, remittances for NCS.
He said that as part of an ongoing reform, the service was committed to transparency and accountability, saying that the objective is to strengthen revenue generation while ensuring compliance with established standards.
Adeniyi also says that the service will continue to expand its capabilities and leverage AI more effectively.
