The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an injunction preventing the Governors’ Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the party’s National Working Committee, and the PDP Board of Trustees from interfering with or dissolving the Executive Committees in Rivers State.
Recall that the PDP Rivers State Executive Committee, led by Aaron Chukwuemeka, filed an ex parte application claiming that the defendants are attempting to secretly dismantle the executive committees within the state.
Justice Peter Lifu who delivered the ruling on Wednesday, also barred these entities from forming any interim committees to replace the party officials at the state, local government, and ward levels who also happen to be supporters of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
