The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, (CNPP) has threatened to boycott the forthcoming local government election slated for October 19, 2024 in Kogi State.
The Kogi State Chairman of CNPP, Comrade Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi said this to journalists this Thursday, saying the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, (KOSIEC) failed to carry relevant stakeholders along prior to the council polls.
He alleged that KOSIEC organized a training ahead of the Local Government election without any political party in attendance.
The CNPP Chairman complained that the preparation for the forthcoming election lacked transparency in the whole process.
He said they have lost confidence in the electoral body and as such might back out of the council polls
