A top official of the Nigeria Football Federation has revealed that Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, will be paid his outstanding salaries soon, as the country prepares for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Chelle was reported to be owed three months’ salary and bonuses by the NFF ahead of the tournament, which will be played from December 21 to January 18, 2026.
Nigeria, and the 23 other sides are allowed to select up to 28 players for the 2025 finals, with Chelle’s list expected between today and Thursday.
The deadline for naming squads is Thursday, December 11, and the mandatory release date for clubs to make players available is Monday, December 15.
In response to the allegations, a top official of the NFF confirmed to newsmen that the coach would be paid soon.
