Brighton and Hove Albion have sent congratulatory message to their new goalkeeper and Nigeria’s Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on her Ballon d’Or nomination.
They sent in their congratulations this Friday via their X handle after she was nominated in the women’s category of Yachine Trophy for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award on Thursday.
Recall that she was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament at the just concluded women Africa cup of nations and made two penalty shootout saves to help her former clubside, Paris FC beat Paris Saint-Germain 5-4 to win the women’s French Cup.
Nnadozie is shortlisted alongside four other nominees which include Ann-Katrin Berger of Gotham FC &Germany, Cata Coll of Barcelona & Spain, Hannah Hampton of Chelsea & England and Daphne van Domselaar of Arsenal & the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons head coach Justin Madugu has also been nominated for the Best Women’s Coach category.
