United States President Joe Biden has called to thank President Bola Tinubu for the release of an executive of Binance Holdings, Tigran Gambaryan who has been on trial in Nigeria for alleged money laundering and currency speculations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar said this at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, saying the two leaders who spoke via phone call, also discussed areas of partnership and cooperation including the issue of security in Africa and in particular, West Africa.
Tuggar says on the phone call, President Biden also offered his condolences on the recent flooding in northeastern Nigeria, amongst other matters discussed.
Recall that Last week, the Federal Government dropped charges against the Binance executive due to his I’ll health, after months of trial for alleged money laundering.
