The Bauchi State Police Command has announced the deployment of massive security personnel and enhanced weaponry to troubled communities within the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Bauchi, Nafiu Habib, announced this to journalists this Thursday saying the deployment follows the recent resurgence of security concerns in Gwana, Digare and Kafin Duguri, all located in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi.
Habib explained that the deployment was carried out through joint operations involving the police, the military, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other security agencies.
He assured residents of Alkaleri LGA that security operations would be sustained and there would be no safe haven for bandits in the area.
Furthermore, the Commissioner of Police in Bauchi, Sani Aliyu, emphasised the importance of community cooperation as he urged residents to promptly provide intelligence to security agencies and report suspicious movements, strange faces or objects within their communities.
