Aspirant cries foul over Bauchi South APC primary

An aspirant for the Bauchi South Senatorial District seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdulmumi Kundak, has said that no valid primary election was conducted in the district for the Monday-scheduled exercise.

Kundak said this to newsmen this Tuesday, calling on the national leadership of the APC to investigate alleged irregularities surrounding the exercise in Bauchi State.

Kundak said the exercise was a “so-called primary,” saying there was no evidence that any primary election took place across the senatorial district.

He also alleged that the process was hijacked by some individuals within the party, saying that there were several unanswered questions regarding the conduct of the primary.

He, however, expressed optimism about the future of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the crisis as an internal issue that could be resolved.
