The Arewa Think Tank has called on President Bola Tinubu to include the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, in the implementation framework of his newly signed executive order on oil and gas revenue remittance.
The Convener of the group, Muhammad Yakubu, made the appeal this Tuesday in Kaduna.
Recall that Tinubu recently signed an executive order directing the direct remittance of oil and gas revenues into the Federation Account.
Yakubu commended the president, while noting that the RMAFC was not listed as a member of the implementation committee constituted by the President.
He also reiterated the group’s support for the administration’s reform agenda and expressed optimism that incorporating RMAFC into the framework, would reinforce transparency and public confidence in the management of oil and gas revenues.
