Arbeloa Takes Over at Madrid as Alonso Leaves by Mutual Consent
Real Madrid has announced the replacement of former Head Coach, Xabi Alonso with former player, Álvaro Arbeloa.
The club made the announcement on Monday, saying Arbeola, who’s the B team manager, will take over the role as Real Madrid’s manager, however without specifying the duration.
The club says Alonso’s leaving was a mutual agreement which came a day after the team lost the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona.
Arbeloa’s first match will be a Copa del Rey last-16 visit to face second-tier Albacete on Wednesday.
