A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ibrahim Osinowo, has criticized presidential aide, Daniel Bwala, over his recent comments in an interview with Al Jazeera journalist Mehdi Hasan, accusing him of attempting to gain national prominence through controversial statements.
Osinowo, said this in a TV interview this Monday, insisting that Bwala does not speak for the Nigerian government.
He said that any official government communication should come through a designated communication official such as the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President Bayo Onanuga.
Meanwhile, in another development, a member of the National Working Committee of the APC, Tolu Bankole, has declared that opposition parties are not prepared for the 2027 general elections.
Bankole said this in Abuja, as he praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying that the ruling party is gaining momentum ahead of the next electoral cycle, while the opposition is currently battling internal crises.
