American tennis player Amanda Anisimova has made it to the semi-finals of the US Open after defeating Iga Swiatek on Wednesday.
This is a comeback for Anisimova — who was defeated by the same player, Swiatek, in the finals of the women’s Wimbledon tournament in July, making Swiatek win her first Wimbledon title.
This time around Anisimova defeated Swiatek 6-4, 6-3, to make it to the semi-finals of the US Open, where she will face Naomi Osaka.
