Anambra state government has paraded sixteen illegal revenue collectors and sand miners who have allegedly been extorting residents and motorists in Ogbaru Local Government Area.
The Managing Director of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade, Celestine Anere paraded the suspects on Wednesday saying five of them were arrested while masquerading themselves as revenue collectors of the govt while the remaining eleven were arrested while dredging sand from unapproved areas sealed off by the state government at Second Niger Bridge.
The leader of the suspected illegal revenue collectors who were arrested and paraded, Obiorah Arinze from Ogbaru said that he was contracted by Nwa Chike-Aba Nigeria Limited and was told that they had obtained all necessary government permits to work with all required signatures and stamps.
