The Anambra State Police Command says it has arrested two kidnapping suspects, including a woman, in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.
The police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, said this on Sunday, also saying they recovered some ammunition, including two AK47 rifles and two empty AK47 magazines, seven single-barrelled dane guns and 28 pieces of live cartridges.
Ikenga says the suspects include one 52-year-old man, Celestine Onuyia and a 45-year-old woman, Jacinta Udenka ‘who were arrested during a search in their house in Oba.
Ikenga also revealed that Celestine is allegedly a native doctor who provides criminal charms and keeps weapons for the gang, while Jacinta gets information about their victims before they execute their plans.
