The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 1,531 operatives to provide security and surveillance around critical national, state and local government assets and infrastructure ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s scheduled visit to the state on Thursday.
The State commandant, Maku Olatunde says the NSCDC will collaborate with other sister security agencies and personnel will be drawn from Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, and Delta states to intensify surveillance, patrol, and to reinforce security operations in the State.
Olatunde says personnel will be positioned in strategic locations including the airport, bridges, government buildings, parks, markets, electricity substations, telecommunication facilities, and other sensitive locations across the state before, during and after the visit.
He urged members of the public to be law -abiding as they troop out to welcome the President.
