The ANAMBRA state chapter of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has deployed 1,021 personnel to ensure the hitch-free Sallah celebration and prevent vandalism of assets and infrastructure.
The Anambra State Commandant, Maku Olatunde, announced this saying personnel have been deployed across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas and will be working to protect lives and property before, during, and after the festivities.
Maku directed his men to intensify surveillance and visibility patrols in all critical areas, including national, state, and local government assets and infrastructure, flashpoints, vulnerable points, Eid praying grounds, schools, recreational centers, markets, motor parks, and other public places to prevent vandalism.
He charged supervisory officers to closely monitor their subordinates, cautioning them to uphold professional standards, be courteous, and remain firm while carrying out their responsibilities.
