The Anambra State government has mourned the death of a former Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Maja Umeh, who reportedly died on Wednesday at the age of 64 years.
The Anambra state Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, expressed sadness at the reports of Umeh’s passing, saying Umeh’s contributions to Anambra State’s growth and development in his time were profound.
Mefor says as Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Umeh worked diligently to promote the State’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential and that his efforts helped to project and sustain the state’s image and reputation as well as foster community development.
On behalf of the state government, Mefor condoled with the family of Umeh and prayed that his soul rests in peace.
