Following the ongoing strike by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, Nigerian airline, Air Peace, has announced the immediate suspension of all its flight operations across Nigeria.
Air Peace announced this on Wednesday saying the decision was taken in the interest of passenger safety, as weather updates from NiMet are essential for safe flight landings during the rainy season.
Air Peace says due to the strike action from NiMET, which is the agency responsible for issuing weather reports for flights, flight safety cannot be guaranteed.
Air Peace apologized for the inconveniences caused and assured that they would resume operations after NiMet resumes full service.
