The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, has suspended the state secretary of the party, Chidi Avadja, for an alleged violation of their constitution.
The Acting Ward Chairman of Ahiaukwu Ward 2 in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia state, Nwabueze Ndumele, and the Secretary Ifeanyichukwu John announced this to newsmen this Monday saying the decision was reached after the ward meeting last Saturday.
They accused Avadja of allegedly hijacking the party and disregarding congress-elected party officials by solely appointing an acting ward chairman of Ahiaukwu Ward 2 after the death of the previous ward chairman.
Avadja was also accused of defaulting in paying party dues.
Furthermore, they announced the suspension of another member of the party, Onyekwere Sylvester, for alleged impersonation and they also set up a seven-man disciplinary committee to investigate the allegations against the two officials.
