We have news that the remaining 10 passengers of the state-owned Benue Links Transport Company, abducted by gunmen in Benue State a week ago have regained their freedom on Sunday.
The victims, who were ambushed and taken away by the armed men on Sunday, June 22, were travelling from Abeokuta en route to Makurdi at the time of the incident.
The Information Officer of the company, Johnson Daniel, said “The passengers, who were initially 12 at the point of abduction—with two earlier rescued have regained their freedom.
Daniel said that medical evaluations and counseling are currently ongoing to support their well-being after the ordeal.
