The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their campaign for qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a home fixture against Madagascar on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The Matchday One encounter is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

Head coach Eric Chelle will then lead his team into their second qualifying fixture against Guinea-Bissau on Sunday, September 27, with the encounter scheduled to take place in Morocco.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group D alongside Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau and Tanzania, setting up a four-team contest for qualification.
