The People’s Democratic Party (PDP )candidate, Ladi Adebutu, has described the omission of his name from the list of candidates for the 2027 governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a temporary setback.
Adebutu said this in Abeokuta, while receiving defectors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties at the party’s secretariat as part of the realignment towards the 2027 elections in that state.
He said he was duly registered by the PDP and had been a member for two decades.
Adebutu also urged his supporters, political associates and faithful not to be dissuaded by the antics of the opposition parties in that state.
