President Bola Tinubu, has promised that terrorism will not defeat Nigeria, he vowed to keep all citizens and communities safe.

Tinubu also directed the armed forces, Nigeria Police, Department of State Services (DSS), and other relevant security and intelligence agencies to launch a coordinated rescue operation for victims of the recent mass abduction in Niger State.

He was reacting to last Friday’s attacks on several communities in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

However, Acting Military Information Officer of Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, Mohammed Goni,reported an unprecedented increase in terrorist surrenders,saying that the development was an indicator of growing pressure within terrorist camps.
