French coach Claude Le Roy has been appointed head coach of the Republic of Congo national team, this marks a return to the role more than a decade.
Le roy was officially unveiled on Monday during a contract-signing ceremony at the Ministry of Sports
His mandate will be to guide the team to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), having failed to qualify for the last five editions of the continental tournament.
The appointment marks Le Roy’s first head coaching position since leaving Togo in 2021.
