A former spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said that the North’s position on whom they will support for the 2027 Presidential elections, will become clear in the next six months.
Baba-Ahmed said this in an interview alongside a former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Usman Yusuf.
Baba-Ahmed, who recently resigned his appointment as President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Political Matters, says the stance of the North will significantly influence the outcome of the election, saying no politician can become President of Nigeria without the support of the North.
He said this as he lamented that the North had endured profound hardship under Tinubu’s administration.
