Glasgow has been confirmed as the host of the 2026 Commonwealth Games after the Australian state of Victoria pulled out because of rising costs.
The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) said this to newsmen this Tuesday, saying that the event is scheduled to take place from the 23rd of July to the 2nd August 2026.
The upcoming edition will feature just 10 sports, compared to the 19 on show at the 2022 Games in Birmingham, central England. It will also feature para sports including athletics, swimming, track cycling and wheelchair basketball.
