Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Moscow of “playing with the lives of Ukrainian prisoners of war after a deadly plane crash in western Russia.
Russia says it was Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, that blew the plane which was carrying 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war, six Russian crew and three escorts.
Moscow claims the Ukrainians were being flown for a prisoner exchange.
However, Ukraine’s military intelligence says it was not told to ensure safe airspace, as on previous occasions.
