Yoruba Agitators Who Invaded Oyo State Secretariat Committed Treason- Bode George

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bode George says the Yoruba Nation agitators who invaded the Oyo State Secretariat committed an act of treason.

George who spoke to newsmen this Monday, expressed his anger over the invasion, saying agitators can’t take up arms against their government. instead, they should have expressed their freedom of speech to let the government know their demands.

He says there is an urgent need for State police, saying the agitators would not have been able to walk about with their weapons in military uniforms without being stopped if state police officials were on the road.

Over the weekend, some Yoruba nation agitators invaded the premises of the Agodi Secreteriat of the Oyo State House of Assembly in Ibadan, claiming that a purported ‘Democratic Republic of the Yoruba’ had been created out of Nigeria.

The Nigerian Army also alleges that the agitators shot at soldiers who were trying to maintain law and order.
