Pakistani prime minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the peace agreement between the United States and Iran agreement will take “immediate effect” after being signed by both sides.
He said this on social media and also said that as a first step, Iran will instantly reopen the Strait of Hormuz and the US will immediately lift the naval blockade.
The US and Iran have also released the text of an interim agreement that their presidents have signed to end their war, but reports say US President Donald Trump has threatened to resume attacks if Tehran fails to honour its commitments.
