Trump spoke on Wednesday saying it is largely true that the Iran war is behind his Republican Party’s midterm defeat, after Vance also directly criticised the conflict as the reason they lost.

 

Reports say the Democrats are taking the lead in the elections and so far have decisively won back the Senate and the House from Republicans. 

 

Meanwhile, two Senate seats are yet to be called: in Mississippi, Democrat Scott Colom is leading his Republican incumbent Cindy Hyde-Smith by just 1,138 votes while in Alaksa, Democrat Mary Peltola is also leading Republican Dan S. Sullivan by just 626 votes.
