The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in that state, Nentawe Goshwe, had petitioned the court, alleging that Mutfwang was not qualified to contest for Governor because he was not validly nominated and sponsored by the PDP as the Party had no structure at the time of the election.

 

However, in its judgment this Friday, the Tribunal dismissed the Petition for lacking in merit, and affirmed Mutfwang as governor
