Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has extolled women in the state and across Nigeria, in celebration of the 2026 International Women’s Day, describing them as key drivers of development.
Soludo said this in a goodwill message released by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, saying that the theme for this year’s celebration, “Give to Gain,” is a call to move beyond charity and dependency towards strategic investment in women for collective prosperity.
He emphasized that giving women equal opportunities, access to capital, and roles in decision-making produces a multiplier effect, benefiting families, communities, and the state as a whole.
Also, in celebration of the 2026 International Women’s Day, President Bola Tinubu praised the contributions of Nigerian women and promised that his government will create more opportunities for them to do more for the country.
