The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Abubakar Kyari has said the country is expecting a bumper harvest before year-end.
Kyari made this known to newsmen on Sunday saying, the acute food shortage in the country at the moment is linked to seasonal reasons, reduced landmass, flooding, and others.
He says the Federal Government has measures in place to address the situation including ramping up farming which would increase food production.
Recall that the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), said food inflation has reached forty percent, pushing the prices of essential commodities beyond the reach of millions of Nigerians.
