The Nigerian Ethnic Nationality Youth Leaders Council Worldwide have called on the Federal Government to take action against those responsible for the display of Russian flags during the recent #EndBadGovernance protests.
The council had a National Emergency Council meeting after which they released a statement this Monday condemning the wave of the Russian flag during the protest and describing the sponsors of the Russian flags as “coupists”
They commended the security agencies for arresting the individuals who waved the flags but emphasized that the real culprits are yet to be exposed.
They urged the government to ensure those behind the treasonable act are arrested, prosecuted, and brought to book, warning that failure to do so would embolden them to further plot against the country.
Recall that the Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended seven Polish nationals over the waving of Russian flags during the protest in Kano, however, the Polish govt has denied the involvement of its nationals and has called for their release and return back to Poland.
