The Super Falcons of Nigeria established their place at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after a 2-1 victory against Cape Verde on Tuesday night.

 

The nine-time African champions sealed their place at the periodic competition 7-1 on aggregate.

 

Cape Verde led the opening at the Estadio Nacional, Praia and took the lead through Ivania Moreira in the eighth minute.

 

However, Super Falcons interim head coach, Justin Madugu, rejigged his squad after the break which earned the team an equalizer from okonkwo and winning goal by rasheedat ajibade.
