The Anambra state governor, Chukwuma Soludo has appealed for fresh flood intervention from the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), to tackle the challenge, saying ten Local Government Areas are now under threat by flood.
Soludo made the plea while on a courtesy call to the Director General, NEMA, Mustapha Ahmed at the agency’s national headquarters in Abuja yesterday, saying NEMA has played a vital role in supporting the state in managing the growing threats by floods hence the appeal for more support.
The Director General of NEMA, Ahmed, responded saying the agency will surely look into the challenge in Anambra with the aim of proffering solutions to tackle the challenge.
