Senegal defeated Morocco 1-0 in the final match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night.
Reports say there were no goals in the first half and the second half was tilting towards a 0-0, until the ref disallowed Ismaila Sarr’s header for a foul on Achraf Hakimi.
In the 97th minute, Morocco was awarded a controversial penalty but lost.
But in the first half of extra time, Senegalese player, Pape Gueye scored a goal, leading his country to emerge as champions.
